The Algiers Historical Society has just printed and mailed out its
September, 2005, issue of its 20-page quarterly newsletter, the
"Algerine."

We are hoping to hold our Nov.12th meeting at the Museum behind the
Algiers Courthouse at 10.30am. Betsy Swanson will be giving a
presentation/slideshow on "Historic Jefferson Parish," which will
heavily feature the West Bank. Non-members welcome. Our new website is still being worked on but details can be found on
www.houseoftherisingsunbnb.com, although there may be some technical difficulties there. The new site should be completed soon and will be found on www.algierspoint.org.
