The ideal of each of the countries participating in the Olympics being able to host same without demonstrations is, of course, unrealistic. Demonstrators do not march, carry placards, beat their drums, or shout and scream if no one is in the audience to record their efforts. In addition, some of the countries that participate are so poor that there is simply no way they could construct the facilities required. What about this suggestion? Have them always held in Greece, with each participating country chipping in with the expenses pro rata? The original site, Greece, was very nice — and appropriate, don’t you think?
