Katy for Obama

Posted on Saturday 16 February 2008

Okay… I’m on my fifth jumbo-sized box of Kleenex in 3 days, and I’m starting to think this is something more than an annoying cold.

Dang it!

But I felt well enough for awhile this morning to get to an Obama supporter “meet and greet” for those of us in the Katy-Fort Bend area.

Kinda fun — particularly since 4 people in a row introduced themselves as, “Hi. I’m SoandSo, and I’m a Republican.”

(I’m told it’s the First Step…)

And after having read about this for a couple of months from places where the campaigns have already traveled, I can now confirm that Barack Obama supporters are the most diverse group of people you could hope to assemble in one place.

Even in Katy.

And so you’ve begun … … escalation on an ever-increasing scale to come.

Sorry to hear about your aches & runny nose. Bet you’ve got the flu! I’ve heard that the shot is only 40% effective this year (something about ‘guessing wrong’).
