But they meant well

Posted on Thursday 22 February 2007

I don’t know about you, but I can only take so much of the gloom and doom today. It’s just too fine a spring day in Katy. Time to lighten up — so here’s my two bits.

Maybe these seemingly innocuous CD players had a scary Lite-Brite figure glowing on the cover?

SANTA FE, New Mexico (AP) — Three CD players hidden under a cathedral’s pews blared sexually explicit language in the middle of an Ash Wednesday Mass, leading a bomb squad to detonate two of the devices.

Authorities determined the music players were not dangerous and kept the third one to check it for clues, said police Capt. Gary Johnson.

Either that, or the Sante Fe bomb squad doesn’t get enough practice time with its detonators.

Bless their hearts — they meant well. Sometimes, that’s just about all you can expect, eh?

The gays are pissed off because the Archbishop of Santa Fe is standing his ground on homosexuality. Google trinity stores and Harvey Milk. It’s all so simple.

    Ah. Simple. I see… (ahem)

Meanwhile, the CD players had to be detonated because…. ? Maybe the bomb squad trained in Boston?

“Meanwhile, the CD players had to be detonated because…. ?”

They were emitting incendiary statements, perhaps?

I’m just wondering if they detonated them inside the church, or outside?
