Was was funny today was listening to the election officials on the phone to Tech Support as the first voters were walking in. It seemed they were still trying to get all the machines to work (the one reserved for disabled folks was totally non-functional.)

I'm sure glad I wasn't working on the Help Desk for the county today!

It's more than embarrassing, it's downright scary. It seems that with each election cycle we come closer and closer to meltdown to violence at the polls and a Constitutional crisis. In talking to a friend in Lafayette, LA I learned that most all of the Parish Courthouses and gov't facilities are closed today and schools out for the day because that's where most of the polling places are and they fear violence at the polling places. My wife and I always to the early voting thing; I wouldn't personally want to be anywhere near a polling place anymore.
