Well, I guess as long as I’ve spent the day focused on the gap manifesting between the left and right, it seems appropriate to have found this:
A Christian Can Be a Christian or a Liberal, But He Can’t Be Both

… ad nauseum.
Yup…. this guy’s a big help.
Can’t remember if I sent you this link or not (not sure how to make it a link in the comment section) . From the Christian Science Monitor a special “conversation” that is hoping to bridge the divide between red and blue. http://www.csmonitor.com/specials/conversations/
Thought you might find it interesting. I did.
What about if I call myself progressive.
i guess these people have no mirrors in their houses.
What’s so interesting about the article is that it’s just a bunch of wild accusations about ‘the liberals” (whoever that is) designed to get people worked up, with no examples, data, etc. Basic propaganda techniques, rather poorly executed (for good propaganda you take some examples out of context to make them look like some kind of demonstration of your point).
What’s really sad is that there were undoubtedly people reading it and nodding their heads and saying “Yeah, we Christians are the downtrodden 75% of Americans!”

“The most fundamental value that distinguishes Christian Democrats from right-wing Christians is that we value equal rights for both men and women.”
[…] This reminds me of an article I linked forever ago, about how one can’t be a liberal and a Christian — which no doubt came as a complete surprise to some folks left of center. […]
