Polimom believes - firmly - in the rights of American citizens to keep and bear arms, but there is absolutely no chance that the founders of our country had this in mind when they wrote the Second Amendment:

“Party-goers”??? “Revelers”??? In a Jack-in-the-Box parking lot? Gotta wonder what those invitations looked like, eh? Personally, I’ve never attended a party where anybody produced guns at all, much less AK-47s.
I suppose it’s possible that Polimom has discovered yet another example of my middle-agedness. Perhaps this is happening frequently and I’m just not making the guest list? Woe and alas, to find oneself socially side-lined so late in life. (Not!)
What an unbelievable mess this society is.
I just have one question. How do you “produce” an AK-47? An AK-47 is a Russian assault rifle approximately three feet in length and weighing near ten pounds unloaded. Not something you can hide in your pocket. I’m just shocked that no one saw this before the party.
“Hey! There’s a guy walking around with an AK-47, I should tell someone!”
Would seem to be a little suspicious.
Maybe they were some new-fangled type of party favor, “produced” right out of the guest “goody bags”? (just a thought…)
In such a scenario, perhaps the dialogue went like this:
“Hey! There’s a guy walking around with an AK-47, and I only got this lousy revolver!”
