Just to pull things into perspective about evacuations and the recent information about Katrina’s strength:
How many people do you think would have heeded the calls to leave the city, if they’d known the storm was going to hit Buras as a Cat 3, and come across NOLA with Cat 1 (or low 2) winds? I don’t think it would have been very many.
