Polimom I also want to thank you for your updates. We own the shopping center next to the Wal-Mart and are eager for any information. It's a relief (and may that continue throughout the day) to know that the area fared well, now to just figure out how to help.

Do you have any information on Abbey Drive? (I am not from there, my cousin is, so I am only guessing that that is still considered Algiers).

Thank you so much.

Polimom, thank you so much for taking the time to keep everyone updated through your blog. I lived in Old Aurora (Norland Ave.) for several years, so New Orleans, and Algiers in particular, are near and dear to my heart. My heart breaks for what has happened to New Orleans and its residents. I just can't express my anguish adequately. Bless you all.
